Review

Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes is one of the two parts in which Metal Gear Solid V is divided. The other one is Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. This action-adventure game, whose creator is Kojima Productions, has been published and produced by Konami. Ground Zeroes is the prologue of The Phantom Pain, and it follows on from the events of Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker.

In this release, someone of Cipher, a secret organization, tells Kaz that Paz is alive and that she is in a prison camp called Camp Omega. It is run by American forces and is located on the coast of Cuba. On top of this, Chico is also in Camp Omega. Snake and Kaz want to go and rescue them because they fear that Paz will reveal the truth about MSF (Militares Sans Frontieres). However, Cipher suspects that Paz might be a double-agent. To complicate things a bit more, Mother Base can be infiltrated by the US forces to find out if MSF poses an actual threat to the world. Nevertheless, Snake infiltrates Camp Omega to rescue Chico and Paz, and, by the way, also convinces Paz to join MSF.

Gameplay

As a Metal Gear game, its gameplay is based on stealth and playing while remaining unnoticed. However, this release offers an open-world map which is more impressive than in the previous installments. Unlike the former versions, there are no re-loading screens when you cross a door or climb the stairs. This way, players are not slowed down, and loading screens only appears when you fly by helicopter among the different areas into which the map is divided.
In addition, the game has a day-night cycle that does not only affect the vision of your character but also the enemy troop’s patterns while they are on watch, etc. Besides, you will have the opportunity to expand your armaments and other items thanks to the base-building features. You have access to the virtual Mother Base while playing, but also from your real-life smartphone if you download the app.
Events do not follow a linear storyline since you can complete missions in the order you want. When you finish the story, you will be received a message from the creator of the game in which the correct order for the missions appears. A real-time holographic map is supplied alongside your character. Thanks to this, you can see Snake’s actual position, the location of the missions and also information about enemies’ positions.

Introduces a New Method in an Open-World Set-Up That’s Perfect for Experimentation

Ground Zeroes have a short gameplay based on its storyline. For Snake however, it is a very sweet stealth expedition set inside an open mission area where there are no restrictions in order, and no definite way to complete your mission.

The entire game of Ground Zeroes is about attention to detail. Using different tactics to navigate through the maze of fences, camps, and rocky coastline without being spotted by the enemies patrolling requires careful preparation and quick execution.

The mission in Ground Zeroes begins in a typically dramatic style at Camp Omega on one stormy night. You need to penetrate the base that is heavily guarded with patrols to rescue your colleague, and using a piece of evidence to guide you in the right path, you’ll need to use your powers of observation. The gameplay of this Ground Zeroes has been getting some modern twists, adding more tools and vehicles, but in the end the game quality is very slow paced, and almost old-fashioned.

The Most Fun and Best Shooting Game You Will Ever Experienced

Metal Gear Ground Zeroes is the nicest action game I have ever played. This game contains all of the Metal Gear Solid fans are hoping for. The gameplay is nice as you would expect. It is entertaining and has many varieties in every mission you will play. It has a good graphics of Metal Gear Solid 5 which I love. There is no doubt that the new upgrades and mechanics of this game are fantastic.

The first time I played this game I became addicted to it. I can say this is the best shooting game with stunning control and the storyline rocks! They do everything that needed to be changed to make this game better, while keeping all that makes this game exciting and fun. I love this game - the style and the music track of it.

Overall, the game did not lose the typical Ground Zeroes style which makes it good. You must play this game because it is truly worth your time.

A Great Game Which Leaves You Wanting More and More

As a fan of Solid Snake and Metal gear series, Ground Zeroes is just brilliant. The graphics are amazing and the gameplay runs very well, added with the calm use of controls, which I think has been done very finely, makes this game incredibly pleasant to play.

The storyline and the playability of this game are awesome and it goes into detail about certain things. I think it is one of the best games today and for the most part of Ground Zeroes, it represents a new and more complicated era for Metal Gear.

Ground Zeroes is a short, but exciting game to play and this is also the game that even if you failed, you want to try and try again and that is what I like about this game. You do not want to put the controller down. If we look closely into what this game gives as a whole package, then we may feel we’ve got our money’s worth.
